Over the course of 2 days we have had a storytelling workshop, freeing the way we think. We started off by thinking about our family lexicon and how we make up words that only make sense to us, such as norange, dobra and beezlebuzz. Our first task was to make up a story about a hole. Mine was as follows.

Theres a dobra in the kaupatch. My Cha Cha told me not to go near the dobra. He says its full of beezlebuzzes and meeces. One time I was playing balloontee and I nearly fell in the dobra. I was so bissicros. My Cha Cha was angry and very cumber cumber. I will never go near the dobra in the kaupatch again.

This was a really fun and interesting exercise which allowed us to define our made up words. We then looked at a set of real words that we had never seen before and guessed what they might mean . It was interesting to see what they really meant. We were then set the task to invent our own Dystopian world using our on lexis. On the second day we presented them and illustrated the worlds people had invented. It was really interesting seeing everyones different interpretations of the dystopias, and how imaginative people had been when inventing them.

Here is our piece.
